Names, phone numbers, or addresses entered in a search form go to the outside provider that supplies those results. Our servers do not retain a separate copy of those searches. When you contact us, we receive the details you include and use them to answer your message.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting service creates ordinary logs containing an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. Aggregated log data helps us maintain the site and see which resources visitors use. Cookies or comparable tools may also support basic analytics and advertising measurement where applicable.
How the Data Is Used
These limited records support site operations, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvements. We neither sell visitor lists nor create individual user profiles.
Links to Other Websites
Links lead to government portals, Merced County and California offices, library collections, and outside search tools. Information submitted on another site is controlled by that site's privacy policy. The same rule applies to sponsored results supplied by a third party.
Who May Receive Data
Hosting and support vendors process server logs for us. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data listed above, and valid legal process may require disclosure. We do not otherwise share visitor information.
How Information Is Protected
An encrypted connection serves the site, and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above require. Because visitors do not create accounts, the site stores no user password or account profile.
Users Under 18
This site is not directed at children and is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Your California Privacy Rights
The California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act may give California residents rights to know, delete, or correct certain personal information, opt out of its sale or sharing, limit some uses of sensitive information, and receive equal service. Our records are limited to a contact mailbox and server logs, which we can search when a request applies. Use the Contact page to submit one. Public records kept by Merced, Merced County, or California agencies remain under the control of those custodians, so requests about an official record must go to the office that holds it.
